Autumn is the season between the hottest and coldest seasons of the year, and as a result, there is a lot of fluctuation in the weather.

There will be freezing mornings followed by hot afternoons and then cool evenings. For this reason, layering is important, especially if you’re schooling, working, or going to be away from home for the entire day and not have the possibility to carry a set of clothes to change.

How many layers are enough? And how many is too much.
The answer is, As many as you feel is right, just don’t go overboard. The important part is to find the middle line between being warm enough and not being able to move anymore. A great tip here is to have around 3 thick layers, like a merino shirt, a warm knit sweater and a light to medium coat.

Some layering ideas

  • Pair an Angelica turtleneck shirt with a pair of jeans, and then top it off with a tweed jacket and a pair of adorable pumps. If pumps are too cold in the morning, just wear some cute socks in them or go for boots. The tweed jacket will keep the cold away in the morning and evenings and in the afternoon when it gets hot, just pull it off.
  • Throw on a vibrant Danni top, a pair of jeans, and some work boots. Wear a plaid button up shirt over the Danni top for morning and evening wear, and feel free to take it off in the afternoon.
  • For a less casual look, choose some cute tights that keep your legs warm and pair them with boots, your favorite skirt and a classic Joselin top. Who says you need to wear pants to be warm?

Patterns come out to play in Autumn.

If you’re not a fan of mixing patterns, that’s perfectly fine. You can coordinate and match your bold patterns by getting a set or adding a single pattern to a plain set.

A bold floral scarf with a single color top can be just enough to add pop to your outfit. See the look here with a Margo top.

These are needed in your wardrobe and in everyday wear!

Don’t know where to get them? You can check a list of women’s clothing stores or women’s clothing boutiques online.

These are fall staples, and any day you do not feel like wearing full-length bottoms, you can wear dark leggings with your shorts and miniskirts for a chic look.
